Elettra Forever: How start in the fashion world? Von Carolina
Hawk: I've worked in many aspects of fashion. While studying, designing and selling earrings and other accessories, then worked as model, and after several years decided to professionalize my hobby was fashion through some studies in design and pattern, but fate would hire me soon, and I as head of communication department of a textile company in more than 20 countries ... But the design has always wanted to win the battle, and this time has done it again.
EF: What is your background and experience in the sector and how you prepared estimates for the work of fashion designer?
CVH: is very important technical training. I keep looking pattern for me is fundamental for a good designer. Creativity feed it every day. I often see many books of photography, get lost in any public library, listen to many types of music ...
EF: What attracted you to the world of fashion and that led in particular to launch your own clothing line?
brought me to fashion a conversation with my father. He noticed that I needed to unleash the creativity and encouraged me to throw it. My first collection is because I become afraid to show my work. I'm very jealous of my privacy and my thoughts, and when you give life through the cloth to your opinion about the world, let see many things.
EF What is the most difficult aspect of launching your own brand?
Production: find fabrics, a good shop, make scaling of patterns ... It's crazy!
EF: What would you have known before entering the world of fashion?
Hahaha ... I always wanted to be a designer. I've never doubted my professional vocation was simply a coward and it took 7 years to recognize it! (Running, crying and many mistakes)
EF: What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a designer fashion? Well, I would
one advice: work. In fashion there are only working people, the rest will fall by the wayside.
EF: What inspires you when creating your collection?
I have two channels of inspiration. One would be the general, the Carolina Von Hawk at its highest level: I like the elegance and sobriety, discretion of women and their way of drawing attention is his naturalness and poise. And whatever you do always makes your feet here. This would be the impact on my pattern and choice of fabrics. On the other hand would be the influence of my spring-summer collection. EF: What trends do you like and which not?

EF: What is a day of work for a fashion designer?
funny. Prepare patterns, you review orders, looking for something interesting on the internet, read a few blogs, drink coffee, visits to the makers, review accounts and papers, see the collection of any designer pointer, you sit down to draw, take a look at the magazines , see your fabric swatch ... Depends on what you play every day, but always enjoy!
EF: What are your favorite materials to work? Like
natural silk but much discussed in Italy (super exclusive) and the gazar and any gauze much weight and materials such as suede, wool or large spot for the winter.
EF: What is currently living fashion Spain?
of deep crisis. The other day I saw a blogger responded in an interview on TVE that Zara had done more for many fashion designers, and I deeply resented: we do not copy or usurp others' ideas, we make here and assume some production costs others do not. For me the big picture of fashion was, is and will be Coco Mademoiselle.

The power to be a designer. There are now more complicated, but I'm always radiant with my work.
EF: How did you choose your brand name: Carolina Von Hawk?
Hahaha ... Carolina is a name of Germanic origin and means Hawk Hawk is the name of my mother, so I did a little mix and it was so.
